DATA WAREHOUSING
At IMGroup we implement large-scale corporate data warehouses by creating an architecture framework and by designing data marts. Data Marts describe a specific business activity, work stream or data problem such as Budgeting and Forecasting and provide an incremental way of building a fully fledged data warehouse over time.
Our approach promotes the sharing of dimensions (time, product, customer profile etc.) and facts and reduces the maintenance burden and the risk of compromising data integrity. The data marts are then delivered in manageable phases.
This process involves communicating the design back and forth between people. To facilitate this we have adopted industry standard methodologies in the areas of Data Warehousing, Analytics and Dimensional Modelling.
At IMGroup we maintain an extensive knowledge base for applications and products which include many practical guidelines for design, partitioning, data refresh, optimisation, scheduling and scaling. To accelerate delivery we will be making use of this knowledge, templates and documented processes.
