IMGROUP awarded Framework Agreement for G-cloud II

London, UK – 12th November 2012 – IMGROUP, a leading provider of information management strategies and services, and Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner of the Year in Business Intelligence and Data Management for four consecutive years, has been awarded a Framework Agreement for the provision of G-Cloud II services.

G-Cloud II is an expansion of the UK government’s initial G-Cloud service, which was launched in February 2012. Its aim is to increase transparency and encourage competition in the cloud marketplace, as well as improving the efficiency of the procurement process.  IMGROUP was one of the original 257 companies selected as a supplier for the initial G-Cloud launch, allowing the company to capitalise on its strong experience in the public sector, and engage with these bodies directly, rather than through partners.

As the UK’s primary solution provider for managing Freedom of Information requests based on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform, IMGROUP will now offer this service via G-Cloud II,  as well as on-premise and online. Every public authority has an obligation to conform with the Code of Practice relating to requests made under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act. IMGROUP’s solution will help organisations to ensure that requests are logged and routed to the most appropriate individual, as well as guaranteeing that the management tools are in place to ensure that the requests are serviced in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Jeremy Neal, Head of Online Services at IMGROUP said, “IMGROUP is delighted to have been selected as an approved G-Cloud II provider. This initiative really does represent a liberation of the market place, allowing the benefits of cloud computing that are enjoyed by the commercial sector to be translated to the public sector. The addition of our FOI service to the G-Cloud II offering is also exciting for us – a significant proposition for public sector organisations who are constantly seeking to ensure that services are efficiently and properly delivered, as a result of drives for transparency in this sector.”
