Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 is an integrated performance management application that enables you to monitor, analyse, and plan your business.
From April 1st 2009, PPS will no longer be sold as a separate product. After Service Pack 3, scheduled for later in 2009, there will be no further development of the planning and budgeting functions of PPS. Existing PPS planning and budgeting users will be supported for an envisaged ten year period.
PPS Monitoring & Analytics functionality is now available through Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, branded as ‘PerformancePoint Services’. Customers will still be able to download the existing planning and budgeting components, until the release of Microsoft Office 14, in 2010.
For organisations who had already acquired PPS, prior to April 2009, or who acquire PerformancePoint Services, as part of SharePoint Server, the planning and budgeting component may remain a viable tactical business solution. IMGROUP will continue to provide implementation services for PPS planning and budgeting.
